This Privacy Notice describes how Grasshopper Manufacture Inc. (“Grasshopper”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), collects, uses, discloses or otherwise processes information about visitors to the Grasshopper Online Store (https://grasshopperonline.store) (the “Store”).

 

By using or interacting with the Store, you (the “User”, “you”, or “your”) understand that we process your information as described in this Privacy Notice.

 

For purposes of applicable law, Grasshopper Manufacture Inc. (a Japanese company) is the “Data Controller” of information collected through the Store. Our mailing address is Koraku 1-4-14, Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo 112-0004 Japan.

We also collect information about products that you place in your cart or express an interest in (for example, through the search function on the Store).

We collect information that you provide to us directly when you subscribe to our promotional emails, fill out our inquiry form, or send us a message via email or postal mail. This may include name, email, telephone number, and any other information that you choose to provide. You shall not send us any sensitive personal information about yourself or any personal information about other individuals. Depending on where you reside, sensitive personal information may include government IDs, racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religion or other beliefs, health, and biometrics or genetic characteristics.

  • Related companies. We share the information we collect with our subsidiaries and corporate affiliates for purposes consistent with this Privacy Notice.

 

  • Business transfers. In the event we are involved in a corporate sale, merger, reorganization, dissolution, or similar event, or due diligence related to such event, the information we collect may be part of the transferred assets.

We may share the information we collect if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that it is reasonably necessary to comply with a legal obligation, respond to valid legal process or government requests, protect and defend our rights or property or those of any other person or entity, act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of the Store or the public, or protect against legal liability.

4.INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

 

Our service providers, affiliates and subsidiaries, and partners are located in various countries around the world.   • Standard Contractual Clauses: For transfers from the UK, EEA and/or Switzerland to countries which are not considered adequate, such as Singapore and Hong Kong, we have put in place standard contractual clauses issued under the UK GDPR and/or by the European Commission (for transfers from Switzerland with the required amendments). 5.DATA RETENTION

 

We retain personal information in accordance with our data retention policy and where reasonably necessary to carry out the purposes described in this Privacy Notice. To determine the appropriate duration of the retention of personal information, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the information; the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure; whether we can attain our objectives by other means; and compliance with our legal, regulatory, tax, accounting and other applicable obligations.

  • Complain to a data protection authority about our processing of your personal information. You can file a claim with the Data Protection Authority in the EEA country in which you live or work or where you think we have infringed data protection laws, or with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office, as applicable to you.   • Designate, in writing or through a power of attorney document, an authorized agent to make requests on your behalf to exercise your rights. Before accepting such a request from an agent, we will require that the agent provide proof you have authorized them to act on your behalf.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. Further information may be needed to verify your identity before these rights can be exercised. If we deny your request, you may appeal our decision by contacting us.

 

7.CHILDREN’S INFORMATION

 

We do not knowingly collect or process any personal information from children under 13 years old in the United States or, where applicable laws impose a higher age threshold, from children under the relevant age in those jurisdictions (“Child” or “Children”). If you have reason to believe that a Child has provided personal information to us, please contact us.

We may amend this Privacy Notice from time to time. You can know if the Privacy Notice has changed since the last time you reviewed it by checking the date at the top of this page.
