LEGAL INFORMATION
This Privacy Notice describes how Grasshopper Manufacture Inc. (“Grasshopper”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), collects, uses, discloses or otherwise processes information about visitors to the Grasshopper Online Store (https://grasshopperonline.store) (the “Store”).
By using or interacting with the Store, you (the “User”, “you”, or “your”) understand that we process your information as described in this Privacy Notice.
For purposes of applicable law, Grasshopper Manufacture Inc. (a Japanese company) is the “Data Controller” of information collected through the Store. Our mailing address is Koraku 1-4-14, Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo 112-0004 Japan.
1.INFORMATION WE COLLECT
When you use the Store, we collect personal information about you or your use of the Store. The categories of information we collect are:
- Information You Provide.
- Product Purchases & Interest. When you purchase, return, or exchange products, we collect information about the products you purchased, contact information (including name, email, telephone number, billing address, and shipping information). We also collect information about products that you place in your cart or express an interest in (for example, through the search function on the Store).
- Communications With Us. We collect information that you provide to us directly when you subscribe to our promotional emails, fill out our inquiry form, or send us a message via email or postal mail. This may include name, email, telephone number, and any other information that you choose to provide. You shall not send us any sensitive personal information about yourself or any personal information about other individuals. Depending on where you reside, sensitive personal information may include government IDs, racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religion or other beliefs, health, and biometrics or genetic characteristics.

- Usage Information. We collect information about how the Store is used, including information about Store pages or products viewed, date/time stamps of actions taken, log files, crash or diagnostic data, performance logs, and error reports or messages.
- Technical and Network Information. We collect information about the device, browser, and network used to access the Store, such as browser type, hardware model, unique device identifier, operating system, Internet Service Provider, and language and time zone data.
- General Location. We use IP addresses to estimate your general location like city and country.

3.DISCLOSURE OF YOUR INFORMATION
Where permissible and under applicable law, we share your information with others as described below:
- Service providers. We share the information we collect with our service providers to provide support for the Store, including website support, payment processing, data analytics, and other services to provide, maintain, and improve the Store.
- Related companies. We share the information we collect with our subsidiaries and corporate affiliates for purposes consistent with this Privacy Notice.
- Business transfers. In the event we are involved in a corporate sale, merger, reorganization, dissolution, or similar event, or due diligence related to such event, the information we collect may be part of the transferred assets.
- Legal requirements and harm prevention. We may share the information we collect if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that it is reasonably necessary to comply with a legal obligation, respond to valid legal process or government requests, protect and defend our rights or property or those of any other person or entity, act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of the Store or the public, or protect against legal liability.
- Your consent. Where applicable, we will share your information with third parties consistent with your consent.
4.INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS
Our service providers, affiliates and subsidiaries, and partners are located in various countries around the world. Your personal information may be transferred to, and processed in, these countries, which may be different from the territory in which you reside. These countries may have data protection laws that are different from those of your jurisdiction (and, in some cases, may not be as protective). These entities commit to processing information in compliance with applicable data protection laws and to implementing appropriate security measures to protect your information.
Where this will involve transferring your personal information outside the UK, EEA and/or Switzerland, we ensure a similar degree of protection is afforded to it by ensuring at least one of the following safeguards is implemented:
- Adequacy Decisions: Some non-EEA countries are recognized by the UK, the EEA and/or Switzerland as providing an adequate level of data protection according to UK/EEA/Swiss standards (the full list of these countries is available here for the EU Commission, here for the UK Information Commissioner, and here for the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner). We rely on the adequacy decisions for transfers to countries like Japan and the UK.
- Standard Contractual Clauses: For transfers from the UK, EEA and/or Switzerland to countries which are not considered adequate, such as Singapore and Hong Kong, we have put in place standard contractual clauses issued under the UK GDPR and/or by the European Commission (for transfers from Switzerland with the required amendments). 5.DATA RETENTION
We retain personal information in accordance with our data retention policy and where reasonably necessary to carry out the purposes described in this Privacy Notice. To determine the appropriate duration of the retention of personal information, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the information; the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure; whether we can attain our objectives by other means; and compliance with our legal, regulatory, tax, accounting and other applicable obligations.
6.YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the rights listed below in relation to your personal information. However, these rights are not absolute, and may apply only in certain circumstances.
- Request access to or a copy of your personal information.
- Delete your personal information.
- Correct or update your personal information where it’s inaccurate.
- Object to processing of your personal information or ask us to restrict processing of your personal information.
- Where applicable, withdraw your consent without affecting the processing already undertaken before your withdrawal or the processing of your personal information on other lawful grounds.
- Complain to a data protection authority about our processing of your personal information. You can file a claim with the Data Protection Authority in the EEA country in which you live or work or where you think we have infringed data protection laws, or with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office, as applicable to you. - Designate, in writing or through a power of attorney document, an authorized agent to make requests on your behalf to exercise your rights. Before accepting such a request from an agent, we will require that the agent provide proof you have authorized them to act on your behalf.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. Further information may be needed to verify your identity before these rights can be exercised. If we deny your request, you may appeal our decision by contacting us.
7.CHILDREN’S INFORMATION
We do not knowingly collect or process any personal information from children under 13 years old in the United States or, where applicable laws impose a higher age threshold, from children under the relevant age in those jurisdictions (“Child” or “Children”). If you have reason to believe that a Child has provided personal information to us, please contact us.
8.CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY NOTICE
We may amend this Privacy Notice from time to time. You can know if the Privacy Notice has changed since the last time you reviewed it by checking the date at the top of this page. By continuing to use the Store, you are confirming that you have read and understood the latest version of this Privacy Notice.

This Section 9 applies only if you are a resident of South Korea.

Additional Use and Disclosure of Personal Information. We may use or disclose personal information for purposes that are reasonably related to the initial purpose for collecting the information. To determine whether the purposes are reasonably related, we consider matters such as the amount, nature and sensitivity of the personal information, any notices or information made available to individuals, the scope of any consent provided, the nature of the proposed processing, measures taken to protect information and any relevant laws and regulations. Specific considerations include: (i) whether the additional use or disclosure is related to the initial purpose of the collection; (ii) whether the additional use or disclosure is foreseeable in light of the circumstances under which personal information was collected and practices regarding processing; (iii) whether the additional use or disclosure unfairly infringes on the interests of the individual; and (iv) whether measures required to ensure security such as pseudonymization or encryption were taken.

What are cookies? Cookies are small data files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. - We use Shopify, an e-commerce platform, to provide and operate the Store. Shopify collects data through necessary and performance/analytics cookies. Cookie Management. You can prevent collection and use of information by Google Analytics by downloading and installing Google’s browser plug-in available here.
